Andy is a Skilled Learning & Development Professional with Experience Gained Over 15 Years at a Senior Level with a National Training Provider.
Starting out, Andy taught Hearing Impaired children across Birmingham during the day and delivered what was then known as Basic Skills to adults during the evening, clocking up tens of thousands of hours teaching and training experience in the process.
Those experiences helped Andy create and refine a style of delivery that is incredibly engaging, highly energetic, lots of fun but above all else, massively impactful. Using a mixture of Total Communication, Accelerated Learning techniques, a little bit of standup comedy and a lot of passion and creativity, Andy has a style all of his own.
Moving to PPDG gave Andy the opportunity to create a staff training department that became the envy of Welfare to Work, Andy designed a coaching strategy and program that helped the company achieve its best ever results and secure massive national contracts such as New Deal, FND and Work Programme. Andy also created the template from which all of PPDG’s trainers delivered from. Just some of their achievements include 2nd place in The Times 100 best Companies 2012, ISO 9001, Investors in people and an Ofsted Grade 2 in 2014.
Andy’s strengths lie in his ability to help individuals develop the necessary skills to become engaged and highly productive leaders and managers in an ever-changing business environment.
Andy has a proven track record of devising and delivering training that enables participants to fully understand the role of a leader in the various contexts encountered in schools along with the management skills required by aspiring leaders. He examines leadership styles and behaviours and the part they can play in creating a successful team through effective goal setting, and dealing with challenging people and situations through coaching and performance management.
Phil Bailey: Assistant Head Teacher - Braidwood School for the Deaf
As a project manager on the Birmingham and Solihull Y.P. P. programme one of the best decisions I made was to commission O.D.D. to deliver employability training to the wider team. The feedback from everyone who attended was that "that was the best training I have ever had!" In over fifteen years of commissioning staff training this was a first! Later, I would come to understand why. Andy has such an engaging style and he doesn't half know his onions! His involvement had an immediate, direct and positive effect on our overall performance and his continued support helped us all through what was to turn out to be a very challenging project. I couldn't recommend him enough, He's one of a kind!

ALWAYS ENGAGING, ALWAYS IMPACTFUL AND, IF THE SITUATION DEMANDS, FUN & FUNKY!
We utilised the services of Andy at One Degree Difference to help us with the delivery of some management focused training for Branch & Account Managers. The group of Managers that attended were at different stages in their careers yet all commented on how Andy was able to identify with all of their needs and offer advice and guidance that they felt would not only serve them well in the short term but help with their long term professional development. I would not hesitate to recommend the services of One Degree Difference to any company looking to help their Managers become more successful in their chosen career

Sak Awan: Director of Employability and Skills. S Knights Recruitment
I've worked with Andy at One Degree Difference for the last 12 months; he is one of the key contributors on a scheme which I manage for higher education students.
I have been thoroughly impressed with Andy; his friendly nature and his can-do attitude through to his knowledge, skills and passion for his subjects and the people he works with at every level.
My students are always impressed; they come away having learned so much which is directly applicable to them all, and they always tell me what fun they have had in the courses they attend. In addition, I've learned a lot from working with Andy; his advice, guidance and enthusiasm for the development of my scheme has been invaluable thus far.
My advice would be to give him and his company a go; you will not be disappointed
